Pedagogy of Fundamentals of Human Nutrition covers general principals of nutrition emphasizing the major roles of nutrients in the body. There are six major classes of nutrients which include carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals and water. Apart from that, bioactive compounds and functional foods along with their bioactivities will be covered. This structure also summarizes;
· Energy balance and body composition
· Variation of nutritional requirements throughout the life cycle
· Main dietary recommendations and dietary guidelines
